Client Background

FPI Art Initiative, founded by Francesca Popescu Ife, is comprised of curators and advisors who specialize in creating pop-up exhibitions to highlight emerging to mid-career artists.

Objectives

FPI sought AEG’s sponsorship and support in the summer of 2024 for the creation and spotlighting of a collaborative pop-up art exhibition between FPI and Veronica Beard. This event would not only showcase Veronica Beard’s latest clothing pieces, but also the artworks of three Hamptons-based women artists, including Lindsay Bardwil, Edwina Lucas, and Isabella Capraro. 10% of the proceeds would be donated to the Mack Art Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to providing opportunities for emerging artists to experience New York’s cultural resources.

Challenges

FPI faced challenges in navigating their media and communications approach and sought AEG’s assistance in providing a strategic communications plan that would reach a broad audience and market the pop-up event to those interested.

Testimonial by Francesca Popescu Ife:

  • AEG developed a pro-bono communications and media plan that targeted and appealed to Veronica Beard’s core audience, as well as frequenters of the Hamptons and supporters of women-led arts and fashion. Withstanding a relatively shorter timeframe from FPI’s call for support and the pop-up event, AEG successfully provided a media list composed of contacts for various news outlets for maximum exposure, created and sent a press release, and crafted a comprehensive media kit.

Impact and Outcomes

AEG's communications support successfully broadened media outreach, securing coverage in outlets like Womens Wear Daily. This media exposure not only attracted attendees to the event but also amplified the mission of supporting women-led initiatives in the arts and fashion. By leveraging AEG's expertise in crafting compelling narratives and strategically positioning the event, the collaboration successfully highlighted the intersection of fashion and art, driving interest and engagement from key demographic groups, including frequenters of the Hamptons and supporters of women artists out east.
